The theoretical substantiation was carried out for increasing the efficiency of converter gases afterburning in unit with a two­tier supply multi­pulse oxygen jets and combustion CO to 2 channel flow leaving reaction zone. authors made thermodynamic analysis process exhaust cavity when using lances refining. It is shown that gas are blown through upper­tier nozzles rate 10 – 40 % total minute rate, sufficiently complete carbon monoxide not provided. limiting factors uneven amount disorganized output formed zones during various operation periods, low mixing waste stream high­speed an excessively excessive supplied afterburning, insufficient components phase rate. conditions provided concentration ratio phase, temperature can increase from 1800 2000 K, then thermal effect exothermic decreases. injected must correspond residual content metal at m 3 /min ≈ 100 [С ост ] %.
